Iceland 2003 Range Rover SE Td6 Adriatic Blue
2003 TD6 Lifted and bigger tires

So I've very recently bought my first RR.
2003 Poverty spec Adriatic Blue with 240.000km on the clock.

I knew I had to work on it when I bought it and didn't really think too far ahead when considering what I would want to do with it.

Now I've realized that I don't like the ride quality nor the look of these 20" rims and I would like to get a smaller rim and bigger tires.

I want the 'Range Rover' driving quality but with a bit beefier look. So I've been thinking about raising the car 1-2" and slapping on some bigger wheels.

I want advice on whether it is VERY bad idea to put the 'famous' GM5L40E gearbox under extra strain with this kind of setup.

What rim size and tire size combo should I consider without sacrificing too much of the ride quality Wink

Get a set of the original 18 inch rims and fit 265 60 18 tyres. Job done. No rubbing, spare fits and cheap tyres available easily.
