Hi Folks

Have used allcomms for quite a while now however recently i have found myself in remote locations 3 times and needing to use the software attempted to do so,however,without an internet connection i have found it impossible to even get past the first screen.....my question is am i missing something or is it impossible to use the software without first going through the update and verification procedure online ?

You have to make the update first! Once you are up to date on version 3.0.0.33 you can used it without internet connection.
I just started my laptop to check it out and there was a message that said “only 8 days left to download the update.” After downloading and installing it started without connection to the outside world.

Thanks for the reply thought i was missing something simple as it never used to be like that...in effect its conditional upon you updating that it works ,Wish it was made plain somewhere that this is the case,I have used the software for a long time now and had no complaints and can understand RSW,s need to protect intellectual property however making an assumption that everyone has ( or wants ) an internet connection available all the time sucks a bit...as i found out to my cost
