United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

If you can afford to run the SC then that is the way to go for sure and leave the farm impliments to the farmers Shocked

I though that when I had my first 4.4 petrol L322 - the TD6 diesel was truly awful IMHO.

However, my first drive of the 3.6TDV8 changed my mind completely - way quicker than the 4,4 petrol, pulled like a train when towing & the relative economy.....

The 4.4 diesel was a step up again.

The 5.0 petrol is a great engine, but I'm happy with my SDV8 Thumbs Up

Not so... Diesel euro 6 can emit cleaner air than it takes in, and the new update shows diesel emits less particles. Shocking I know, but analytical are at the top of the tree in this business.

We shouldn’t all hate diesel the devils fuel because VW cheated on their numbers

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

They’re both wonderful. I love the low rpm torque of the SDV8 and the ability to get mid 30’s mpg on a long motorway run, something I used to do regularly.

I convinced myself that the SDV8 was the better “all rounder”, but at the end of the day, it’s all down to personal preference and use. Thumbs Up

I went for the 5.0SC, but if I have a towing requirement then I’d probably opted for the diesel. Fuel consumption being the main reason for that.

I can offer no advice as I now find myself musing the same question. The responses thus far are helpful.

Good luck with your deliberations and ultimate decision Thumbs Up
