PROBLEM SOLVED No Power to Front passenger door?

Hi,

Just found this site Hope someone can shed a bit of light for me,

Used car yesterday after the missus decided to clean the interior and flatten the battery Rolling Eyes
Fully charged the battery straight away is only 9 months old. drove it yesterday and tried to adjust the mirror and wouldnt work, so tried the window and no luck there also the door will not lock or open with the fob have to press the button maually to lock and pull handle inside to open. Anyone else had this prob?

Is it just the one door and mirror and window that is not working? Is the fob locking all the other doors? Previously..

I have not come across this problem by simply getting a flat battery. a couple of questions that may help diagnose it:

Can you operate the passenger windows from the drivers control?

Can you operate either mirror?

All other locks and windows work as normal?

Do the puddle lights work?

Do you have any fault codes in the BCM? (assuming you have an IID tool or similar, If not than i would seriously look at getting one if you plan to keep the range rover for any length of time)

Also have you tried a battery disconnect and reset, although this is unlikely to help if you have none of the above as they are controlled by different control units.

regards, luke

Yeah it's just the one door, all other windows are fine and yes the fob locks all the other doors.

Hi,

The puddle lights work fine, all other locks and windows are fine, I cannot operate window or mirror from the drivers side. Drivers side mirror works fine.

An iid tool is my next purchase, just trying to source the best price for one.

It sounds like the connector has come loose in the door. If you have that many faults in one door I would think it would be something straight forward like that. Previously..

That's my first point of call this weekend, I kind of thought the same, thought I'd ask the question here as we all know how weird the electrics behave on a ffrr. Thought it may have been mentioned before.

Problem solved, bought myself a new battery charger a ctek multi 7.0 nice piece of kit. Stuck the battery on charge again put it back on this evening, and all is well took it out for a leisurely drive no faults all door locks and windows working fine.

Cheers for all your help guys.

I had this problem after getting a flat battery a few times while working on my car and also having the alarm going off and not being able to stop it as battery went too flat. i also disconnected the battery backup sounder for the alarm. When i charged the battery on the vehicle and started using it i had no power going to the passenger door and no BCU faults on the all comms but my faultmate didn't like connecting to the BCU.

I was checking fuses again by actually removing them to test rather than connecting a meter across them and when i removed fuse 15 to check it i got a continuous very loud beep from the alarm sounder i think and when i replaced the fuse the noise stopped and the door worked again !
Just thought i would share that with the group.
i think a battery disconnect would achieve the same result.

Appreciate it’s an old thread but just had this on mine after alternator death.

Battery disconnect didn’t solve it but pulling fuse 15, which put the sounder on, and putting it back did reset the system.

Fuse was fine as I had tested it previously but just hadn’t pulled it. Doh!

I only did this after taking the door card off and disconnecting the A pillar to door wiring - which was a PITA.
