Breakdown Insurance

As far as I can tell via search this has not been asked for over a year, so I thought I would ask again...

I want to cover my wife's Focus and my FFRR, I don't need home start but I do need national cover, but I want to be towed home so I can fix myself. As I understand it most will only tow to nearest garage.

I do not want to a multi drop tow home, lots of horror stories of having to wait at county borders, just pick me up and take me home!

I have done searches on the comparison websites and they list loads of companies I have never heard of, any comments anyone?

Is it worth paying a bit extra to get (in AA's case) £535 of repairs covered? My warranty ends in 6 months.

Whilst I don't need off road cover I will be taking my FFRR off the tarmac, ie greenlining are there any catches here?

I have spent a lot of time searching so have a reasonable ides of what is out there so I am looking for real experiences.

Oh also it may be worth mentioning that I am disabled so it would be very useful to hear from any other disabled peoples experiences.

Thanks

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

As above, AA will bring you home / garage of your choice. And every year I haggle a massive discount off the renewal quote or threaten to leave them. £150 a year for home, relay etc. Been with them for years which helps I guess. 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
New Defender D300 90 on order so "Rory" will be going to a new home....!
