aerial on windscreen

hi all, i have just had a new windscreen fitted and am just wondering if anyone can tell me what the small rectangular component is that is at the top of the screen on the passenger side. it is stuck to the screen and there is a cable from it that goes into the trim. i have looked through my manual and can't find reference to it.

the new windscreen was etched with ATS1 where it sits so presumed it to be standard.

Looks a bit like the aerial I had in the window for the nokia phone kit I had in the classic.

ATS1 is just the code for the glass, nothing to do with that aerial.

AS indicates the clarity of the glass, with AS1 being the best clarity, then 2, then 3, and the 'T' means top tinted.
