center console cubby armrest removal.

Still hitting the wall on removing the leather center console lid from console and Land Rover tried to explain but did not do a great job. I can see that the road comes out but I
can't get the rod out. It goes from left to right. Has anyone replaced their cubby in a
2013-2017 L405 that might have some insight? Thanks in advance!

The Land Rover Mechanic told me the rod punches out left to right and I have tried with a punch and hammer but it didn't come out and i was afraid to force it. Is there a shop manual that explains how to remove it?

Looking at the WM, it looks like the lid has to be raised when you drift the pin out.

Yes, thats all I have as well. I will try with lid open though. Most RR stuff is not that complicated but this has me stumped.
