Deployable side steps & tyre fitters

Hi, I've ordered 4 new tyres for the RR & booked in for fitting tomorrow but just had a thought, did I read somewhere that the side steps need removing to allow the car to be jacked up or can it be jacked elsewhere to remove wheels to change the tyres i.e using 4 post lift ?
TIA
Phil

you can remove them for the fitters to jack up using the side jacking points or leave them on and they can jack from the rear and front but doing it that way its best if its one wheel at a time..... ... - .- -.

The steps remain deployed if you flick the switch to roof access mode.

Can you jack car from the side once the steps are left deployed?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. There are a few similar threads on this subject all with the wrong information:

I have deployable steps and need to chance two wheels using the jack, contrary to popular belief, you don't need to take the steps off. There are two jacking points on the steps - on the step mounts you can see the exact same cut out shape for the jack that you see on the jacking point under the step. I checked and it's there. I'll be dong this tomorrow..

NO!!!!! This thread is L322 NOT L405 or L494

DO NOT jack an L322 under the deployable step!

L405 or L494 yes but NOT the L322... Rolling Eyes

Just as well I checked back in. OK, I removed the link. I'll jack it from the bottom of the suspension mounts. Whistle 2010 FF 4.4 TDV8 Vogue - Gone
