As requested. My wife has had soft tops ever since we’ve been married (31 years). The best was her SAAB 900 which got sold and she immediately regretted it. Roll on a few cars and the serious hints started some 7 months ago. We found this one in an unusual colour so it was purchased. It’s a TTiD with a 6 speed manual. It’s our first car with a DPF, so I’ll take to my work once a fourtnight to put a heat cycle through it. She is very pleased.

Our first one was a 900 Talladega 3 door in 98. We got that brand new and was a great car with a massive boot. Then the CEO changed her XR3i cabriolet for the 900 cabriolet, which is the one that got sold. Photo taken on a sunny day in Belfast.

Heres quite an astonishing fact... Mentioned on a RR forum, about a Saab Whistle

My wife doesn't use the Saab in the winter so it sits under our carport... I usually park it when the first salt goes down so November? ish... I went out to the car 2 weeks ago, still sat under the carport, now for 7ish months and press the remote, it opens, i open the car and place the key in the ignition and voila! She starts! Just like its been parked there a week...

She's had the car now for 4 years and its never once needed assistance starting after a winter lay up! Go figure!!!

Last year, started it and the alternator failed immediately! Blew a diode pack??? Had it rebuilt whilst i waited for 30 mins at the alternator wizard bloke... Much much cheaper than the £6 or £700 list price eeek!

Couldn't be less LR if you tried Whistle

ADI, have you had any issues with the DPF. All I’ve gathered so far is they’re a nightmare on this application. I try not to get sucked in as generally you only hear about owners with bother, but blimey Big Cry visiting from www.rrsport.co.uk

This is why we bought the petrol option... Dont get too hung up on it though else you'll ruin the owner experience! What kind of miles has it covered?
