For the record, the primary turbo is the bigger one. |

Perhaps they have clutch packs with more plates and / or different material. The parts list for the HP26 shows many variations depending on the application. |

Surely the rest of the driveline (downstream of the t-case) has to deal with the same engine power but through a far lower gearset when in low ratio so, on the (rash) assumption that most FFRR don't get to use low ratio in anger, a mild remap isn't going to cause problems to the drive train?

I have always seen 700Nm as the max for that gearbox, which other applications use it at 1000Nm? Always found it strange that RR managed to get it right on the top limit of the supposed maximum , so genuinely interested. Thanks |

The 8HP90 is rated at 900 for petrol engines and 1000 for diesel.
