4.4 tdv8 flat spot?

So, I've had my 2011 TDV8 AB for 10 months now and I'm generally enjoying it but for one thing. If I need to excelerate quickly on a roundabout or T junction the engine initially bogs down and then launches the car forward like a rocket. No control whatsoever.
Normal driving is fine and smooth. The gearbox has been serviced at a ZF centre. I've rebuilt engines and gearboxes in the past so I'm pretty savvy with the spanners.
Can this fault really be down to just Turbo lag?
I've just had a new steering rack fitted at my local Indy and while it was there they plugged it in and found fault code;

P007A-62; charge air cooler temperature sensor circuit-Bank 1
U0405-68; Invalid data received from speed control module
P0700-00 Transmission control system (malfunction indicator lamp request)

Is this a common trait of the car and if it isn't can someone point me in the right direction to get it sorted.
Cheers Kev.

You may be experiencing the peculiarities of having a small and a large turbo?

If my memory serves me, the second (large) turbo doesn't come on song until 2500 rpm, whereas the small one is running most of the time the engines on.

For the record, the primary turbo is the bigger one.

Perhaps they have clutch packs with more plates and / or different material. The parts list for the HP26 shows many variations depending on the application.

Surely the rest of the driveline (downstream of the t-case) has to deal with the same engine power but through a far lower gearset when in low ratio so, on the (rash) assumption that most FFRR don't get to use low ratio in anger, a mild remap isn't going to cause problems to the drive train?

Note I have used a question mark as I am certainly not an authority on this topic!

It always puzzled me when people say look out for your CV's if you are turning off DSC, putting it in sand mode and booting it to see how she takes off. Surely the CV will be man enough for the same activity in low range so should cope admirably in high?

Then again, it is a FFRR we are talking about! Rolling with laughter Bish.

The gearbox is rated to 1000NM in other applications and I don't understand why they say 700NM for the RR?

I have always seen 700Nm as the max for that gearbox, which other applications use it at 1000Nm?

Always found it strange that RR managed to get it right on the top limit of the supposed maximum , so genuinely interested.

Thanks

The 8HP90 is rated at 900 for petrol engines and 1000 for diesel.
Why would LR pay for the heavier duty 90 when a 70 would do?
