Android apple car play

Has anyone tried the apple car play option from Unique Auto developments yet?

I’m sure there was a recent thread on that one - not sure if anyone went for it though.

IIRC the only downside was that you lose the sat nav, but you can use Waze instead - the only thing you can’t do is have the nav pop ups on the main dash.

I might have been tempted had I not bought a phone holder a few weeks prior to seeing it and now have all I really need.

There seem to be quite a few of these out there now - to be honest I hadn’t come across this one on other threads.

The installation video looks a bit more DIY-doable than some of the early ones (no knives seem to be involved!) - worth a look - it’s been quite well filmed.

Hi Stan,

yes it's the android 10.2 unit, she says its too complicated, I have to say some of the functions are a bit of a faff but overall I think its a great bit of kit, I don't drive it as much as she does and getting a phone call everytime to tell me how s**t it is isn't worth the hassle lol

If the wife doesn't like it then she can easily use the host factory software? unless its an early system and the touchscreen is crap?
