Footwell Light upgrade - too bright

So on my 2013 L405 SE I changed the footwell lights front and back for the White & Blue dual colour fade set from powerfuluk - all good, easy plug and play change - look great and much brighter - but when I drive at night even though they fade down like the originals (but these turn blue on fading) they are too bright and I’m seeing a blue reflection of my shoes in my window.

Questions-
1. If I know which of the LEDs are the blue ones - 3 out of the 18 - can break a few - any issue or safety probs doing that?

2. On their site it says you can change the rear footwell light on Autobiography only - but I have lights mounted under the front seats - so are there on my SE and this upgrade worked great in the back? I assumed if they work I’m good.

Cheers. Andy

Interesting. How do these work? Full bright on white when door is open and then fade and then blue when door closed? 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Yes mate exactly. They are much brighter when the door are open - which is great, and when the door is closed and lights are turned on the light does a nice fade to a dim blue. Just for me personally the faded blue is bit bright. They do them in red too - which may be a better idea for me as it’s less harsh. The install is really simple - the light pops out on the console side, unplug, swap, push back in.

very neat....might grab a set of those. What color is your carpet? If its lighter I can see the blue reflecting and it being brighter. I have full black so it likely wouldn't be as bright..

for your situation you might just want to put a smoke film over it but that will dim down the brightness overall. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

just purchased a set of 4 white/blue for my Autobio Smile Since I keep my ambient lighting on the electric blue color and my illuminated autobio tread sill/plates and white "range rover" shadow light/entrance lights...this works perfect. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

purchased a pair of the white/red ones
with only one fitted it works perfectly, but when both are fitted the white light doesn't turn off on either and when I turn the cars lights on both the white & red leds come on,
before the change all worked ok
have found that I have lights under the front seats but these are still the original leds
any ideas?

Sounds like you have somehow got the plug in backwards to me or one of the pins is bent over?

hopefully I don't have the same problem...mine should be here in a few days/early next week.....along with my SVO "range rover" hood/bonnet lettering Very Happy Not sure I'm sold on the SVO lettering - black texture with chrome edges - (have to see it in person) but it looks the nicest besides the standard bright Atlas silver. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Got mine today and put them in. It is a crazy Intense blue color! Like a black Light but blue. But it does match the electric blue mood lighting. I haven’t seen it at night to get the full effect (I was just in my garage). I’m pretty excited though. It’s the little things. And the fade to white is perfect 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC

Has any one installed these on a facelifted RR?
I know I am going to upgrade the puddle lights, it is question if I buy the football light to save on postage and if they are worth it on the facelifted car? SDV8 AB MY 2020

Luxmoggy, why would you? The 2018> Have ambient lighting in the footwells already! These lights are for the pre 2018 cars that DONT have colour changeable footwell lights sir... 👍
