United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Used to have an old quasar with the twin bunks and rear bedroom. But the washroom was a side bath. Not a whole lot of room, the twin bunks is great with kids tho. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had a week at Lincoln Farm Park.

Loads of newbies in motorhomes “staycationing”..... it’s almost comical
To watch the cluelessness.😭

Busy overall tho, but the local pub under new ownership has Improved since my Last visit. Food is edible now (quite good actually!!) There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just a pedantic point, but when did staying in the same country become a 'staycation' (hideous Americanism anyway)? It always used to mean have a break from work, but staying at home. Going on holiday in the same country is 'going on holiday.' Drives:

We've just got back from a week at wolverley camping and caravan club site, it was fully booked. Lots of new campervans/homes.

We're at Market Rasen at the moment.....it's busy here, too, with some obviously seasoned caravanners and a few with no clue.

It took one couple in their 60s (who refused all offers of assistance) 2 hours to set their 2 berth caravan and porch awning up.

It took him 20 minutes to reverse it in to position.

Think it may be their first time.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

Left sunny Suffolk on Saturday for a few days in sunnier Brighton.
Very busy site over the weekend but thinning out a little now.
Seems to be an influx of motorhomes versus caravans, still very pleasant.

Just spoke to a mate, who’s manager of our local caravan dealers, there’s nothing left on their forecourt, he says they’ve sold loads of vans, new and used.
He said folks have been in, first timers, and bought high end vans, like Buccaneers, had movers fitted, air con, and good awnings, spent thousands. He’s a very happy bunny Very Happy
He thinks there’ll be some very good second hand vans about in a year or so when folks have found out tint tenting wasn’t for them.

Funny you say that Wogger, I was talking to a couple from Sheffield who said the same thing. Their ‘van had been in for service & they were told “all used tourers are sold” apparently people were coming in & panick buying whatever was available & that includes new ‘vans when the used ones were all sold! Porti-potti’s is the new ‘toilet paper’ can’t find one for love nor money, strange times!😀 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Exactly my point.

Sitting looking at a pretty much new van, with a new awning looking like it’s been put up by miss piggy and kirmet.

Not a tidy camper my self tho.....

That said Having air on fitted doesn’t sound like a bad idea today!!! A couple of grand well spent!😂 tomorrow is hot, Thursday is forecast rain and 19 degrees. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Lots of folks having trouble find sites that have pitches available.
We’ve managed to get on at Chatsworth this weekend, I was amazed when I rang, and there were pitches to be had.
My daughter and family just had a couple of days at Rother Valley site, said it was near empty, and it’s really nice there.

Where I am at LFP was rammed and emptied out on sun/Mon. A few empties now.

We are off to crossways cc site in a couple of days. We weren’t bothered so cancelled, then decided to go and could re book easily!

I’m surprised that chatsworth had any space. That’s usually the first to book solid! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue

The tin tent has had new tyres and is having its first outing in years. It was bought new in 2010 but due to health and life getting in the way it’s barely been used. We’re pitching it just outside Fort William for 3 weeks so the whole family can get some time away in it.

Has anybody found a set of towing mirrors that snugly fit the L322 door mirrors? Due to the shape of the mirrors ours seem to slide off.

Thanks Thumbs Up
