All makes sense return looks ok. Mine was like a hose on full bore with the engine running. So much fuel being returned. Yours looks ok

One thing I forgot to mention is the high pressure pump has been replaced in the past but the looks of it, looks cleaner than the rest of the components.

Another thought is that maybe a pressure sensor on the rail (high) or ontop the diesel filter (low) has gone array causing false readings.
I unplugged my low pressure sensor while the engine was running and literally nothing changed.
Didnt whether it was supposed to see it cut out?

Either way ive got it booked in the 5th of sep for some readings at the fuel place, they diesel with all things car/truck and hgv diesel wise, Colchester Fuel Injection.

Bong of doom is already present the minute you put the key in the ignition and turn thr key to position 2.
Comes up with “fuel injection system” error before the car is even running.
I wonder if ive still got the old one i replaced somewhere ...... or did I bin it.

So I guess I binned by old fuel pressure sensor, couldn't find it anywhere

So rather than buying the same Britpart, part from island 4x4 for £20 inc + del, I drove to the same breaker I bought those rear inner/outer sills from that were nabbed off a 2010 L322.
They had another TD6 laying around so I got hold of that fuel pressure sensor that lives on top the fuel filter (It was a bosch one, so looks to have been replaced at some point), for a tenner.

Cleaned it up, swapped the seal over (as my seal was clearly newer) and the fuel injection error

wait for it.................................

DISAPPEARED !!!

I did the same test, by removing the electric connector and I got the original error back, refitted again and it went away (where as it didn't do that with the other one)

Why on earth this sensor decided to fail after changing the in tank pump, I couldn't tell you !

Needless to say, i'll be contacting island 4x4 for a refund/replacement as that Britpart, sensor has been on the car for approximately 3 months
