United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Firenze Red
Upper Tailgate closes half way then stops

Hi guys, My 2015 Vogue SE has the following tailgate problem:

If I unlock the car as normal and then open the tailgate with the key, both lower and upper tailgate open fully.

If I then press the key to close the tailgate, the lower tailgate closes fully but the upper tailgate lowers to approx half way then stops.

Pressing the key again has no affect....or pressing the upper tailgate open/close switch only produces a series of audible beeps and the upper tailgate does not respond. I have to physically close the upper tailgate by hand.

But if I use both the upper and lower tailgate open/close switches independently, the upper tailgate and lower tailgate open and close perfectly.

I have done the height reset but no affect on the close issue.

Can anyone suggest a quick fix?

Seems to have reset itself after I did the height reset and started the engine? Strange one to be honest....I spoke to Roger Young service director who was extremely helpful and suggested a recalibration of the tailgate if it happens again, and told me to phone him direct.
