Just bought this sad looking 2009 L322 Westminster in the very rare Mariana black. Car is unlocked but no keys!. Waiting to have a key cut and programmed and find out exactly what I have let myself in for. Will report back when a key is sorted. Wish me luck!

The picture of the Westminster was from the sellers storage field near Northwich. I’ve bought it as a finance repossession with no keys or V5. It’s clear on the HPI register and has a current MOT. Sadly the original diamond cut alloys have been swapped with awful 18” alloys, although it still has an original spare in the boot. Speaking of the spare wheel area the jack and locking wheel nut key are gone. NAV disc is missing and someone has taken it apon themselves to remove the Range Rover lettering from the boot and bonnet. I have put a battery on the old girl and pressed the secret button under the steering wheel to reveal some diesel in the tank and a mileage of 106k. So why have I bought it, why not, it’s a bit of fun and will keep me entertained during these sporadic lockdown times. It could be a case of Big Cry or better still a Laughing moment.

Well she runs.......sort of. Will not run with oil filler cap on but it will with it removed. Have not removed the exhaust yet but I suspect turbo failure resulting in oil being dumped into the exhaust. This would explain the low oil level on the dip stick when I went to view the car. Obviously have not run the car for long but it sounds healthy enough. Just getting some prices on turbos. On another note, I have bought some genuine Westminster diamond cut alloys which will be going on shortly.
