2015 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Santorini Black
Replacement of L405 Fins

Well after a 2 year hiatus we are back with a new to us L405 3.0 AB 2015 in Santorini black. The Volvo XC90 was OK but not a Range Rover.

Can someone please advise in relation to replacing the atlas fins with black ? Should we purchase the PowerfulUK ones or do we need to order some in Santorini from the dealer ? I am contemplating blackening all the chrome and have been looking at PowerfulUK afer market parts. Will they match. / look OK on a black car in terms of black matching black or are these best used on a contracting colour eg Grey

I have reviewed all the photos on the forum in terms of all the combinations and intend to start with the fins first and work forwards from there

You might find some on eBay - I got mine from Khan - presumably left over from someone going the other way....

Just make sure they come with the clips as you're likely to break a few. If used, then you'll also need some sticky tape - but dead easy.

I'm not sure how close the Powerful ones are to Santorini

Thanks Alistair. Read all your posts regarding this over the weekend and have used the photos embedded in one of the topics to help decide the look I want. Not sure I am committed to removing the front bumper to address the AB vents so it’s going to be all black except the front , or just the fins leaving the bottom chrome line and then a black and chrome grill similar to the 2018 version. Decisions decisions.

Hopefully someone can confirm if the black from powerful Uk is a good match 2013 L405 AB 4.4SDV8 Luxor/Ivory, 2007 Vogue TDV8 Epson Green/Sand, 2008 Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue/Sand, 2003 Vogue 4.4 LPG Epsom Green/Sage, 1998 Vogue SE 4.6 LPG Epsom Green/Cream

I didn't go any further than the fins in the end.

For the bumper grills - it may be possible to get them wrapped - that's what Frank did with his -

Honestly, no Powerful parts won't match Santorini! Either order new from the dealer, find a GENUINE set on eBay, and have them or yours painted... Whichever suits your timeline Thumbs Up

All/any aftermarket side vents i have ever seen look rubbish ESPECIALLY if your painting them highly reflective black... Just my 2 penneth worth sir... Thumbs Up

Thanks gents. I will progress with the correctly painted approach.

Slightly off topic. Any variance in quality or suggested supplier for replacement front grills. Veering towards a 2018style black with some chrome. 2013 L405 AB 4.4SDV8 Luxor/Ivory, 2007 Vogue TDV8 Epson Green/Sand, 2008 Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue/Sand, 2003 Vogue 4.4 LPG Epsom Green/Sage, 1998 Vogue SE 4.6 LPG Epsom Green/Cream

Hi I have recently changed all my L405 silver trim to Santorini gloss black using PowerfulUk parts.
They fit perfectly and all their instruction videos give you full details on how to do it. Easy peasy.
The one thing I would confirm is getting new clips for the front door fins. They snap very easily and the later clips are much stronger.
I also bought their lower front valance kit which really finishes it off in my opinion. Highly recommend PowerfulUk products.
You either like them or you don't, but I'm happy.
