Car nearly died a minute after starting?

So the car (4.2) started as normal with the viscous fan on, and it had a slightly dirty idle which it does from time to time which according to those on here seems normal.

Anyway after a minute i reversed it off the drive pulled it forward and was about to get out to open the gate and the revs in park were about 3-400 rpm I watched for 20secs or so then it nearly died so I held my foot down got the wife to open the gate and it’s been fine since drove 10 miles and started fine when warm.

Any thoughts? Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

I've never had a "dirty" idle on mine! Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987
Fiat 127 1982 - 1984

I think it was dingg and dolphinboy when I asked a year or so ago said it happens some times. Fuel trims are bang on no faults no air leaks so assumed it was it’s only occasional.

Back to the problem at hand - I have brand new genuine maf and o2s at the beginning of the year all genuine jlr so don’t think it’s that. I have changed 3 coils could the rest need doing again no faults so hard to tell Current stable:

Good idea Thumbs Up ,
I cleaned my MAF on my MK1 Octavia VRS couple of years ago and it did improve general
performance and tickover. Most motor factors sell the aerosol cleaner or fleabay / Amazon.

As I say maf is genuine only 10 months old so doubt it’s that same as the o2s Current stable:
