Oh happy days ... blasted thing !

I had one of those mornings where I was swearing at my car and threatening it with the classified ads ! lol

Early morning, dark and damp, blasted heater fan has packed in (again) and now the entire right half of heated screen doesn't work.....

75 miles later and getting to my destination I'd forgiven it...well nearly. This is going to be expensive I thought...

Thought you’d gone the full Basil Fawlty there, and threatened it with a tree branch.

I think the screen has a connection each side if I remember right. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Didn't realise the screens had a connection on both sides, half of my screen has stopped working so this may be worth investigation.... Current FF Westminster 4.4 V8

I assume that the connections are below the wiper panel, at lest thats how I've seen other manufacturers connect for wiper area screen heaters... being Landrover they're probably via the rear lights ! lol

So if the windscreen is replaced then the interior gets stripped too ?? I've not had mine done yet but it needs doing, been putting it off

Heated Screen Elements

I’ve just discovered that a whole bank of heating elements directly in the drivers view are not working…. So it seems the issue may be with the RHS connector at the bottom of the A-Pillar.

I plan to inspect the wire connections in the connector to check for pin push back or wire breakage.

Does anyone know how the connection from the wire to the screen elements is made?

Are they fragile and likely to brake away ?

Here’s what I found in the work shop manual :
