Thanks for the info! I am more concerned with the heater that stops working after 30-45 minutes, I'm hoping the blower resistor may cure this?

It's the changeover valve that may be the problem, the rubber washer may have rotted / degraded and swollen, stopping the main coolant from reaching the heater matrix after a while. Had the same problem on my FF and this seems to be the solution.
