Hi folks great site. As all newbies I have some questions, here goes; I bought a 2004 L322 4.4v8 about a month ago and these issues have come up.
1. Engine light has come on since day one.
2. My jeep is only getting 230miles max out of a full tank of opitmax (£120), with some town driving and the car is not driven hard. Is this normal??
3. Trans. fail safe keeps flashing up.
4. air bag light comes and goes aswell.
The jeep is booked in to get looked at but was wanting some advice/info before it goes in.

Battery?? The jeep recived a new battery at the last service about 2k ago.

This may sound overly critical, especially for your first post, but PLEASE do not call it a Jeep. This will not do yourself any favours. It is not a Jeep, a Jeep is a model of car quite seperate to Range Rover.

Thanks for that dan, will have to check when i get back onshore. so that should sort most my problems? sorry about all the questions normally used to smaller stuff i.e minis
am aye picking mick, where you based?

if the battery is low on power when you start the car it pulls the voltage i suspect below 9v this then triggers the various ecus to go into backup mode hence the faults
