Broken rotary gear selector 2011 L322

Well, was going to treat the old girl to a nice wash.

But She decided it would be better to spend some quality time waiting for the nice AA man to come and have a look at her.

Darn thing decided that it would not come out of reverse.

the Rotary gear selector is well and truly stuck, When switched off it will try to go down into its home position twice and then it just stays in the up position with a R flashing on the dash.

Looks like the control box is a sealed unit that contains all the gubbins for this unit to work so I guess it will need replacing in one piece.

Typically the TOPIX file does not have how to remove floor console , it is highlighted in a few placed but is not shown in the 2010 plus workshop manual. Found it on the powerful UK youtube page.

So anyway, it is booked a taxi to take it on a little drive tomorrow morning. Will see how the LR warranty stands up.

Not sure how easy the transmission control switch is to get hold of?

Cheers
