Can any one give me some advice?

after changing the starter motor and fitting a new battery on my L322 2005 HSE there is a loud crackling noise coming from the near side rear speaker even when the radio is off. When the radio is turned on the cracking comes from all the speakers. Can anyone give me any advice on this?

Hi , I think that a common fault on the speaker wires. I've had it happen twice in two years and each time lasted about 1 minute. I'm sure it's caused by moisture in the rear and the speakers wires shortening out with the water / dampness.
