How not to drive through water.

interesting to see the reversing technique. Not sure that's to be recommended as if it's too high for the front, it'll be too high for the rear (i.e. he could have made it frontwards looking at the water height, only up to his wheels)

Looking at the depth gauge and enlarging it, it’s just over 700mm. None of those should have been trying it. The Corsa is just sad Sad

I once pulled a family in a ML out of the sand near Lindusfarn (sp?) in Northumberland- the driver said he had good “sand tyres” on his 22s they where near track type road slicks!

If My disco 2 V8 as I towed them started to dig I stopped and reset clearing the tyres as I went, the AT2s where fantastic but I did not want to sink myself ... there was quite an audience at the end on the course way

The recovery chap in the transit they sent out to help said there was no way they where going of the road!

Just because it’s a 4x4 does not make any of them invincible... and some awareness of those capability’s help

I reckon it was a setup. Those ducks were just waiting to steal and break those cars down once they were abandoned.

The obvious flaw to their plan was that they couldn't reach the pedals so had to just watch as the cars were rescued. Rolling with laughter
