There is a silver 2008 in Dunstable on Autotrader, TDV8. It has had the turbos done apparently, I went to have a look. It has 12 months ticket. He refused my bid of £3,400 but would take £3.600. It was back up at £4.4 now down to £4k.

It had crumbly sills and a big rust patch on the rear wing, was met by brother in law of vendor at an industrial unit. I walked away felt uncomfortable about something, and have just paid another £3k for a 2009 so either I am bad L322 purchaser or a great one.

Might be worth a look, was mapped and went well. Buy at your own risk! 2009 TDV8 3.6

Beware of 'cheap' L322s; they are cheap for a reason.

Take a few weeks or months to watch the market, read all the guides here and find a local specialist you'll feel confident with when something goes wrong.
Then start looking - that gives you some time to save up a grand or two and find a better L322.

Also factor in £400-ish pounds for an IID tool to solve any trouble on the side of the road -or just to feel more confident about the car once you drive it around knowing you can solve many issues with the tool.

I’m in Birmingham

I’ve got a 2002 4.4 petrol I’d sell, it’s got the sweetest engine in one I’ve heard
21 inch l405 wheels
Really nice car for the year

In daily use had it 2 year plus

Bad points
Back bumper could do with painting
Occasional engine light comes on but doesn’t effect performance and has done it since we bought it but I’ve never investigated it

Air suspension has a bit of a fit but it’s always done it since we bought it but it’s never been investigated

I’d want £2.5K onto no6 Range Rover

Never mind cheap RR, there’s no such thing as a cheap LR!!

To be fair, I’d given up on finding one I was prepared to buy. I looked at loads of 3.6’s about 4 years ago, all around the £11-13k mark, but couldn’t find a decent one from a reliable source, so I gave up and bought a FL2 instead 🙄... honestly didn’t think I’d ever get a fatty.. but always wanted one.

Then this one turns up, 1 owner (friends dad) 100k miles and dead turbos... I paid £2700. It now stands me at £4K with the turbos, but I had the space to do it myself. I wouldn’t want to pay for a 8 owner car and dubious history with all sorts of bits wrong.. i know this ones gonna cost me some more yet to get right, but I’m happy that I’ve got a sorted motor less than the going rate, that I’ll be confident in... it’s lovely to have had it apart for that reason alone...
