2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
RR telephone, bluetooth and PTI system

I know my RR is fitted with the PTI (personal telephone integration) system but my mobile phone cannot find it through bluetooth.

My mobile is on the approved list of compatible handsets as well.

LR suggest taking the vehicle into a local dealer to look at it but this will incur silly costs if all I have to do is turn the cars system on?

The instruction book is typically confusing.

Any ideas?

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Chawton White

If I remember right, this was still the BMW bluetooth system on 2003 cars.... and there was a different pairing process as there is with the current Nokia system.

There used to be a little pairing button in the centre console that you'd press which effectively put the system into "listen" mode so you could then use the pairing function on your phone to register it with the car....

If you've followed the instructions in the PTI guide to get it working and it still doesn't work (and you've never been able to use it) then maybe it is faulty in some way. You'll need to take it somewhere for attention then...

Also, which list of approved phones were you using? If using the current list from the LR website, don't forget that it applies to the current PTI system, not the older BMW system Very Happy Halfway Down The Stairs,
