Iphone/Itunes vs Hard Drive

Apologies if this has been discussed previously (I've looked back and can't see anything however) but...
I'm a tech luddite who is wondering if it's feasible to somehow download the music content from my iphone (or my itunes library) onto the hard drive. My car is a 2017 model with the wider screen and has a Signature 1700w hifi.
Any guidance (or confirm that it can't be done!) much appreciated!

Thanks anyway Stan!

On that note - if anyone is good with iphones/itunes do they happen to know if it's possible to download the music on my old Iphone onto a USB stick (or other file) so I can then upload onto a new iphone (and presumably use the usb stick in the car)? My old laptop died, my new one only has recent downloaded music on it, not all my old stuff - which is still all on my old iphone (together with, it appears, the new stuff I've downloaded).
I'm sure there must be a way to do it, I just haven't a clue!

Upload all your old stuff on the old iPhone to your iTunes library on your PC then down load the lot (inc the new music)onto a USB stick. You'll probably need 64Mb+ on the stick depending on your music library. Then shove the USB stick into the USB port.

That should do it. All LR cars from 1984

That works indeed, or alternatively just leave it on the cloud and have it sync via you Apple ID. No more messing about with computers in the middle. It couldn’t be easier to switch phones, just log in with the existing Apple ID and it will download everything.

I wrote on another thread is that the easiest thing is to equip yourself with an iPod classic (I have one dedicated for the fatty) and plug it in. The screen controls are excellent for selecting and searching and you don't have to worry about network connections or any of that stuff. The sound is pretty good, too!

+1 for the iPod solution. I have that arrangement and works just fine.
