I've got a meter like that... it was cheap and couldn't read much below 1/2 an amp... I bought a better one... |

It is a Halfords small cheap one at around £8.

I'd be tempted to fully charge the battery overnight, measure its voltage after at least 30mins off charge, it should be 12.9volts ideally, 12.7 at a push...
