Trailer Damage

Hi all

Hoping some of you guys might be able too help me out. Anyone happen too have any suggestion on how too straighten this corner piece of the trailer out? Unfortunately I don't have access to oxyheat which was my initial thought. Would it be something you'd do yourself or would you just get it into a bodyshop and get them to do it

If you do use heat be careful of the fumes - galvanized steel emits some nasty vapours.

Without heat you could try some large technical adjusters, or connect it to a winch if you have access to one to pull it back into shape? Bish.

Car body shop with hydraulic pullers etc will get that nicely back into shape. As said earlier, dont use heat on the galvanised metal, nasty stuff. BMW i3 Electric Car

Sounds like the body shop might be the better option then.

My very first job in the early eighties was as a trainee fabricator / welder. Back then, at least where I worked, there were no fume extractors, vented or positive pressure welding masks, nowt.

I distinctly remember being jealous of the guys welding 'galv', as they got... wait for it... a free pint of milk each day to mitigate the effects of welding galv steel. Shocked

How things have changed for the better! Thumbs Up 1992 RR Classic 3.9 efi Vogue
