Previous owner removed deployable side steps?!?

Hi All,

Is there a way of knowing if depolyable side steps were fitted to your vehicle since it doesn’t state so on topic?

My L405 “doesn’t” have them, however! I have just noticed the button to deploy them is there under the boot open button??
Also the car has the deployable side steps booklet with the original paperwork.

Lastly.. There is a large-ish un-plugged circular electrical plug on the drivers side at least where I could imagine the steps would connect..

Is there anyway I could check they where fitted? I’m hoping I could just buy the physical steps and get them fitted again!

Thanks.

I guess I’ll take a gamble buying the steps and asking Land Rover to fit them..

£800+ crazy price..

£800 isn't too bad when I paid £3,000 (which was discounted from RRP) to have them fitted to mine..... MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Not on TOPIX as they are not a factory fit.

You may be able to ask the supplying dealer whether they have records of fitting them.

As above though - sounds like they were fitted & subsequently removed.

They seem the cheapest, I wonder if they are genuine Land Rover items.

They're too cheap to be genuine (used genuine seems to be £1000-1100+) and don't have Range Rover on the central strip. I wonder if they will be compatible with your existing wiring? MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Don’t worry, I hadn’t purchased them, there is a post from Duckworth parts on here stating they are £375/side, assuming that includes the motor and mounts that’s a good price.

Just encase this helps anyone else out..

I found some used side steps off of a 2018 RR sport (yes they fit) for a good price, bought them, and whilst I was convinced they would need some stupid reset or something from the main dealer they didn’t!

Plugged them in and they folded in when the doors closed straight off the mark!

Very happy.
