New discs and pads

What sort of price range should I be looking at for genuine 4 new discs and pads all round on a 2017 L405 v6?

Thanks in advance! 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel

You can get the pads and brake discs much cheaper here. May not be genuine but £950 for front discs and pads seems a bit steep to me. 2013 Vogue SE SDV8

Duckworths do a forum discount - genuine are about £770 all in F&R.

They can also do Delphi for about £470 - which is what I did.

How many miles is your car on for discs and pads all round?

If you can use spanners it a totally doable job. Brakes are a job for a local garage not a dealer the prices they charge are extraordinary for brakes.

Source some genuine discs from Duckworths or advanced factors, and some Delphi or TRW pads, which will do fine and dandy.

Take these to a local garafe and get a labour only price to do the swap. Should be about an hour of labour on a ramp. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Sounds little ambitious. Changing discs and pads all round in an hour would be very fast?

Not really. It’s such an easy job. The hardest part is replacing and rerouting those wear indicators at the back 🤣

Not really with a ramp and proper tools. Takes me about 2 hours on the drive wheel by wheel and taking my time/cuppas so I would imagine a good mechanic should be able to swap them a lot faster than that. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

OK. I'll defer to those that know better but I don't think my local indie will charge less than at least a couple of hours.
My pads don't need replacing yet so I'll wait and see.
