United Kingdom

@wayneg - crikey, that's a real shame. I thought some of the other guys would have kept the trips running, I was running trips every couple of months until we came back to the UK.

The paid membership forum probably killed it though. I had a similar experience just recently: In order to respond to a car advert on (another make) forum, I had to purchase temporary membership. I'd previously been a very active member of that forum and club for years. I understand the need to keep advertising to paid members on some forums, but not for someone else to respond to an advert!

Running a forum, must be a very complex balancing act, between running & maintenance costs, keeping access free and minimising abuse (of the facilities).

Australia 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

I believe the guys who used to run some of the trips went on to form the W4 group, as I said it's still up and running, each year they also run a 4X4 comp. I entered one year in a P38a and came second to Mike in his green soft dash classic. They have a website and Facebook page. http://teamw4.com/ Have a look at the photos of the past events, you might see some familiar faces and vehicles, One of my P38`s is in there ( MRMEENER) 2007 TDV8 VSE

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Barolo Black

Used car prices are mad here in the UK. I managed to purchase my 2012 TDV8 due to the fact my V6 Navara had gone up in value a couple of thousand quid Mr. Green never experienced that before Thumbs Up the dealer selling the FF had this priced up at a reasonable 12.5k and i purchased it for 12k + he has done some significant work on it too. I got it back end of September last year and it now looks like it is worth 13 - 14k on the private market.

I also sold my Caravan that i brought from New at the time it was 18 Months old i paid 22k for it and sold it for 21.5k. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Waitomo Grey

It is interesting seeing cars come, go, and stick. I've been following the relatively few SVAs for more than a year. Right at the start there was a Green one (I like it but it would be marmite to many I suspect) priced a £80k. Its one of the first made on a 66 plate, but does have a low sub 30k milage. Other 66 plate SVAs have come and gone at around £60k. So 30% over base price and you've still got it over a year later - doesn't seem like business sense to me. In normal times an average (non-classic) car will depreciate ~ 20% in a year, so theoretically that year on the forecourt represents £16k. But current reality is that the asking price hasn't budged at all. Will be fascinating to see how it plays out. Mike - MPx
