Need to replace front discs and pads. What makes are recommended. EBC? Ferodo? Einbach? Something else?

Cheers

David

think so...

they claim up to 30% better braking performance and loads less dust. Under half the amount of dust in my experience. Thumbs Up Cheers, Greg

I’ve had 3 sets of EBC disks & pads now, they’re a good bit cheaper than LR ones and in my opinion are every bit as good. They work well, last well and are quiet. I’ve used some of the cheaper ones in the past but have never been happy with them.

I would argue the BEST discs and pads are original equipment, you will get a good discount from Robin at Duckworths (site sponsor) for them. Thumbs Up Pete

Another vote for keeping it original. The original equipment has got a very nice refined feel to it, it is good to maintain that. Besides it is in my opinion surprisingly good value for money Very Happy

A Trap

Recommend Delphi discs and pads. Couple well with step, twisty mountain passes around here which hammer the brakes in 40’C+ heat. They are an OEM manufacturer.

i disagree with those claiming that OE landcover brakes are the best......appologies
they are way overpriced. I think if you stick to the big names Delphi, Mintex, Brembo, EBC, you cannot go wrong :thumbsu the above will be made to very high standards just like the OE parts branded LR.

I am however willing to be corrected if someone can tell me what makes the LR parts better Mr. Green 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

As an add-on to Jayk69s comments - NONE of the aftermarket braking products are likely to make normal braking performance any better - as the limitation is your tyres.
The only thing the aftermarket MIGHT do is improve fade under repeated extreme braking & the way the brakes "feel" at the brake pedal - eg they can require less effort (or sometimes more !) to stop at the rame rate. Paul,
