Mats

Hi all

Looking at mats and have found these at over £200! VPLMS0061PVA
And these EAH500280PVA nearly half the price...

Anyone know the difference?

The first one, more expensive one. Looks like what I’ve got in my my2010+ autobiography supercharger. The other cheaper version doesn’t. Perhaps it’s before 2010 or perhaps it’s non autobiography.

I can tell you one thing. Mine is lovely and makes you want to take your shoes and socks off and sink your feet into the deep pile. Reminds me of being in our living room, opposed to our utility Wink

I’ve got the first ones in mine, they are the premium mats fitted from 2010-12. Although most of the time I’ve got the rubber mats in the front for general winter use and also when I go green laning.

You chaps with the extra thick pricey ones - do these have the Range Rover emblem on them or just the metal corners? Current stable:

Mine just have the metal corners. They have about 1cm pile so very nice underfoot.

No emblem, just the metal corners.

And lovely very deep pile. Makes you want to take your shoes and socks off and go barefooted 🤣

So are they these? Somehow they Look a bit cheap but if it is these guess that’s not the case when they are in?

Those look the same as mine, so I’d say yes.
These are mine.

The photo is very bad quality so hard to tell whether it is the genuine article or not. The original mats in the autobiography are anything but looking nor feeling cheap...

The LR AB "luxury carpet mats" have leather edging. The ones in the picture aren't those. The pile on the pictured mats looks a bit coarse by comparison with the genuine LR ones too. If you want your car to be 'right' then I'd avoid. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Mine with the trim and stitching if it helps. Should have waterproof rubber backing as well.

Looking at the brochures I have (2011 RR and Accessories 2005) the premium mats (VPLMS0061PVA which is jet (black) and EAH000300PVA respectively) look different to your picture. The main difference is that the mats pictured have a Range Rover logo on them, facing the door. EAH500280PVA is the jet version of what I expect is the non-premium but still LR genuine mats, in the 2011 brochure. It goes on to say "2007 -2010 MY vehicles only". One does not see the whole mat so I don't know if these ones had a RR logo. The leather border on the 2005 brochure premium mat is wider than the one in your picture and the pile on the mat looks higher quality. The 2011 brochure pictures are so small that it is hard to form a view, and because the leather edging on the premium mat is a contrast colour in the brochure it might look wider. It's not as wide as on the 2005 premium mat. The pile shown on the 2011 brochure mats looks finer than that in your picture.

Re your question what goes through the holes, there are stems with triangular flat hook tops in the front footwells that go through the holes to hold the mats in place. That will be just the later cars, presumably 2007 on as per the brochure, the 2005 brochure mats don't have holes, I think there was a metal spiral of some kind to hold them in place. Only Range Rovers since 1988
