Prince Philip's funeral Land Rover

big sigh of relief that Landy Defender carrying Prince Philip made it to the chapel and wasn’t too busy being a Land Rover

I must admit, I did smile when it did. And it wasn’t too tractor like in the silent moments, ticking over.

I’m not really a Royalist as such, but I watched that.

Also watched the documentary on iPlayer called The Duke In His Own Words. Really enjoyed it. What a national hero.

And he was driving round in a Disco 2.....

Very moving watching the funeral but was half expecting “ landrover assist” to be following the hearse 😂😂 Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

I noticed that the burly REME sargeant driving it had the window open so he could execute turns crisply.

Should have been a V8 though hay...

Noisiest thing out there at some points, that TD5 clatter...

Obviously a huge honour for the REME Sargeant to have driven that Land Rover yesterday. Something very special to tell his grand children.

But, imagine the stress / pressure on him , obviously the car would have been gone over with a fine tooth comb, god knows how many times, but, if it had stopped !!!!! Bet he had a stiff drink after it was all over. Rather him than me! Bow down Bow down Bow down

It was stationary for quite a while outside the chapel.

Which poor sod has got the job of cleaning the oil stain off the ground!

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

They had everything covered...I read that there was a second identical LR waiting in the side lines just in case!
