It’s a key thing

The rubber backing has lifted from my key fob, has anyone had any success gluing it back. I was thinking silicone adhesive/sealant but I might just be wasting my time. The all plastic ones are available for little cash and my slidey metal bit with the Range Rover logo can be transferred (it’s usually blank nowadays). Geoff

Stan you were right, there is no suitable glue in fact when you have messed around the silicon rubber comes off altogether

I ordered another case from China, it took ages (must have been on the Evergiven) but then I found one from when I previously swapped the innards from the "big key" so I used that, a simple DIY job

When I tested the whole thing it all worked (as expected) but I have never pressed what I had always assumed was the hazard light button. So of course I pressed it, JLR describe it as a "panic" button (discovered that when I read the manual afterwards) and they are right not only does it set the hazards off but also the alarm - I did panic especially when all the neighbours came out to see what the nocturnal racket was Embarassed

Anyway panic over and new hard case has arrived and is safely in stock - I think I wasted a few bob there. Thumbs Up Geoff
