Where to store cargo cover in car when not in place?

Hi everyone,

Sometimes I need to remove the cargo cover to fit larger items in the back. But, I have yet to find a good spot to put the cargo cover so it's out of the way and where it won't get damaged. I've just been folding it in half and putting it against the side of the back of the car.

Am I missing something? Is there some place that's designed to hold the cover when not in place? If not, where to others here put it?

Thanks!

Totaly useless design in my opinion why they didn’t do a roller option like the D3/4 I don’t know, so now when I take the dog out I have to store it in the garage, rubbish design 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

It is a poor design, should be like BMW as they have a slot/space under the boot floor to store load covers, in the bigger cars anyway. It's not just for the retractable covers, my Dad has a 6 series Gran Coupe which has a shelf which is fixed to the hatch, so despite it being a flat panel that stores under the floor as well.

I had a new X5 loan car around a year ago and that had a loadspace pack which included rubber strips in the boot floor which were flush with the carpet when the boot was open and then raised slightly when the boot closed to stop things moving around so easily and it had a load cover that powered down behind the rear seat backs and into a storage area (under a flap) in the floor. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Take it out, wrap it up and put it in storage until you come to sell the car. Totally useless design as above.

Perfect design for me - small dogs, half height dog guard & they sit on the shelf. A roller cover would be a disaster for me Cool

Yes I fold it and put behind front seats but no good if you have passengers. A good quality roller system would be way better. 2009 Range Rover Vogue 3.6TDV8, Bournville, Parchment/Navy

First time wanted the shelf out of the L322 thought just slide it in the slot back of the back seat as per four door classic and P38 but no slot ! Dont like to leave it out altogether often have tools in the boot so it has to live in the garage till I get back.

My back and rear quarter windows are tinted, denying the casual observer a view into the rear load space. Cover has been gathering dust in the garage for the last 8 years. Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

It’s designed to be flipped over so it only half covers the space. That’s what I do so the dogs not in the dark!

Doesn’t solve the problem of not wanting it there at all though 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)
