Mud flaps for side steps

I got myself a pair of side steps to replace the chrome tubes on my car and have steps fitted but I'm struggling a bit to find how to remove the lower side panel to fit the metal brackets for the front mud flaps.

I can pull the bottom of the lower side panel which pops out but the top seems to be be attached to the bottom of the wing in some way and I don't want to force it, so does anyone have any advice on how to do this?

Took me a while googling but I thought I had seen something more comprehensive that the fitting instructions from sidesteps.co.uk or whatever http://www.paddockspares.com/images/Fittin...503660.pdf hope this helps. It does look like you just pull the plate off, but that isn't advice, it's just MHO Smile Geoff

Thanks for this, these instructions are MUCH more comprehensive than the 1 sheet I have!

Looks like a bit of BFI is required when taking the panel off! Rolling Eyes Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
