Spain 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I did UK to Spain via Germany/France a few times on the CBR 600. I remember getting laughed at by a couple of guys at the ferry when I was heading out, don't think they'd ever seen a CBR 600 with 3 weeks worth of camping gear on it before Smile

I also actually moved from the UK to Spain on the CBR600, there was (probably in retrospect) too much weight on it really, but it carried everything I needed for the first few months here.

That was in December, so it was a bit snowy for the leg from Manchester down to the ferry! Smile

Boldor

My second last bike was a BMW R75/6 in Boldor red. Last one was a BMW 100/RS. Took that touring in France with, like you, three weeks camping gear. Smile

Couldn't get on with the K100 series. Much preferred the boxer engine but then again I came from the old school of British bikes. My first "big" bike was a BSA A7 (500 cc) which I put an A10 (650cc). The frame was the same.

I look at all the bikes on here and have a pang of nostalgia and a little bit of envy. Sad Smile John

Running this for work at the moment as not much chance to get over to Austria for a spin.

Long term biker here....currently these are in the current stable

2020 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster

1995 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade

This was a very recent purchase (as in last week), its a 1 owner bike with only 5k miles and its immaculate...this one is a future investment.

JamesD that blade looks lovely. Had one same colours for a while. Fabulous bike, but p/x for a new R1 when they came out in 97. Now I'm looking on Ebay.

England 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Loire Blue

Not had a bike for about 15 years now but still look at them with envious eyes. I had bikes from about 6 year old until I was mid 30s. Tried most types from dirt bikes , supermoto to super bikes. Had a bad accident at 18 years old when I folded my leg the wrong way and ended up with pins and plates (that was on a RD350 ypvs)
Some of the bikes I had

Montesa trial bike (when age 6)
Suzuki TS50er (first road legal bike at 16)
Yamaha RXS100 to pass my test
Yamaha TZR 250
Yamaha RD350
Kawasaki KR1s
Suzuki RGV250
Kawasaki ZXR 400
Kawasaki zzr600
Kawasaki ZZR1100
Honda XR400
CCM 644 supermoto
Yamaha WR426
Honda Fireblade 900rr
Suzuki GSXR1100L
KTM supermoto
Suzuki Hayabusa

Still fancy another but don't think I would trust myself on one now I am almost 50 Big Cry Paul

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

Had to check back, as I thought I'd answered this thread almost a decade ago! Whistle

I've only ever owned one model of motorcycle, ever....!!

Just one hour after passing the bike test, I got on my first ST1100 Pan Euro. I've never owned another model of bike in my life and after more than a quarter of a million miles, I still love it.

We were the last 'car' to traverse this particular route back in 2001, having witnessed a couple of GS riders turn round and refuse to complete the Col ahead of us. Who needs a Land Rover anyway!!! Cool
