Having had my own business selling tyre cleaners / shine 30+ years & tested nearly all of them, this in my opinion is by far the best:

https://www.meguiars.co.uk/shop/hot-shine-reflect-tyre-shine

No splattering the bodywork & lasts really well & easy to apply Thumbs Up

Rolling with laughter

I've just looked on my email to see how much I paid for it. It was £6.37 when I bought my bottle in 2008 and I've still got half the bottle left. That should give you some evidence to substantiate the purchase with the boss Wink Kev

Hope the training is going well RRover. Good man, very brave of you Bow down Whistle

Reading your post sunshine, I noticed that you made one obvious big mistake, thing is you should have taken her to the garden centre FIRST, let SWMBO get all the green stuff that was required, suggest an extra couple of very nice plants, whilst complimenting her on her superb gardening skills, THEN gone to the other store for car stuff. Rolling with laughter

I only discovered the rac stuff by mistake from B&M. I walked past it and thought I would try it to use on my Van tyres while it was being shown at Peterborough truckfest 2 years ago. The gaffer bought autosmart tyre shine and lasted half hour. So I sprayed mine with the rac stuff and lasted just over 5 days. Is the only stuff I ever buy from now on.

Maybe the site could put up it's own section just for car detailing so folk can share their tips on how to keep our fatties in tip top condition?

There is a detailing section, it's the last subject on the 'Wiki' list. Thumbs Up

Have not really looked at it yet, as looking at my car on the drive, I feel like King Canute again on that bloody beach Big Cry

Carbon Collective Sateen 2.0 applied with a foam sponge applicator looks very natural and not shiney and last a long time.

Going back to an earlier post of mine on this thread, I read about the stuff from B&M that Barmybrummie mentioned. Anyway, when I was in one of my rare visits to said store Whistle I bought some. We won't mention the other products purchased. Big Cry

Put some on one front tyre of daughters Insignia, and my usual stuff on the other tyre cos she does a high mileage on A roads and mucky B roads, to carry out a test. Good result, one product far outshone the other.
You know what is coming next............
Trouble is, by the time I noticed a difference, for the life of me, I could not remember which product went on which wheel Big Cry At my age I should know better. Whistle Censored Banging Head New test to schedule.

PS - Barmybrummie, when I mentioned the detailing section in the 'Wiki', It was not meant to sound shouty, don't apologise, we are all guilty of this, me especially Whistle Thumbs Up
