Clunk in gear selector

Hi all,
I have only just noticed that after I have parked up, when I apply brake to put gear into park,there is a clunk when I press the brake pedal. Can feel it through the gear selector.
Doesnt matter what gear its in either.

Is this something that is normal or should I be looking at something ( brakes are still good and plenty of meat on them).

Mine is a 2006 Td6, and it does not do what you have described, off the top of my head, not sure what it could be.

Its very common and nothing to worry about IMHO sir...

Its the solenoid that locks the gear selector working, triggered by the brake light switch Thumbs Up

Normal,

It’s the pedal interlock so you can’t take the car out of park without a foot on the brake.
