Hi Pete,

I have thought about a petrol machine. If that were the case I imagine it would be the 5.0SCV8. Apart from the timing chain tensioners they appear to be pretty strong, unless I’m missing something. The diesel option would give me a much wider choice of vehicles come the day; I also have to wonder just how an older 5.0 had been driven, I’d imagine more enthusiastically than a diesel, and what that does for the longevity. Anything I buy is for the long term, so getting it right is very important to me.

Cheers, Stockers

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

All The 5.0 SCs are Autobiography spec, so you will get more leather etc.... unless you get an Autobiography TDV8 of course, and there will also be less of those than the other trim.

Drive a couple of each maybe then make your mind up....

I don’t think you could really thrash the Supercharged about too much, as they don’t handle all that well. My 4.4 TDV8 is too quick for its own good if you are not paying attention Laughing 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
