Morning folks, just seeking views on the 2015 model year FFRR.

Tentatively looking at sourcing a 4.4 SDV8 to replace my L322. I appreciate there are updates on 2016 model year re Euro 6 and HVAC controls then again upgrades on 2017’s with wider infotainment screen. These are all nice to have however not essential to me.

Should I find a good example of a 2015 is there anything particularly off putting that you’d suggest avoiding a 2015 and hold out / increase budget to push for 2016 model year onwards?

From research it seems the front suspension was modified in the 2015 model year to address clonking issues experienced by some, although not sure if this update was applicable to all 2015’s or part way through the years production.

So much variation in terms of condition / history etc so good to know thoughts / experiences.

I can only speak from my own experience, but I picked up a MY15 64-plate SDV8 VSE a couple of years back now, with 84k on it.
And whilst my mileage was greatly reduced during lockdown, I have managed to put another 14k on it, including 2 tours of Scotland, and its been pretty reliable and faultless.

In fact, other than routine servicing, the only thing I needed to do was get the rear brake lines replaced as the original ones were badly corroded.

2015 was the first model year when all the known bugs were fixed.

It is pretty robust.

As above, 15MY saw the suspension fix etc etc...
