D pillar upper seal

Hi,

This has happened more or less on both sides d pillar. From what I gather this seal is part of the d pillar panel. What have you done to fix this without changing the whole panel.

The seal looks quite standard so maybe I just buy something similar, glue it and seal it. Any ideas? dos and donts when it comes to this?
