United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Santorini Black
Hi All, just two issues....

Hi All,
I am a new member here and this is my first Range Rover.
I have a 2012 Westminster 4.4 Diesel and to date i love it! But surprise i have 2 issues that i am hoping someone will chip in and help me with.
First Issue: The Electric parking brake will engage ok but wont release with out selecting D and bumping forward a tiny bit, the parking brake fault flashes on the dash with the yellow triangle and you cant activate the park brake again until you switch off the engine and re start again.

Second issue: I want to tow a caravan , the removable socket it fitted and i have bought a RR tow hitch as it was missing. Both electrical sockets are fitted the 12n and 12s i have power to the 12s but none of the trailer lights will work in the 12n, i get nothing. an an electrician so i am savvy on continuity, voltage etc, the earth is all connected and fine but none of the lights will work, i have checked both fuses behind the right cover in the boot and checked the multi connector in the wheel well. but i can find a trailer control module on my car, i am lead to believe its a white unit and it should be next to the fuse box, but i cant find anything like it, is it possible my year controlled by a different module in the car?

Sorry for the long rambling i wanted to share as much info as i could.

Hi and welcome... Yes your towing electrics no longer have the white control box... Just the plug in the spare wheel well, I believe the trailer lights should now be controlled by the existing BCU...

The parking brake sounds like it wants to go on a diagnostics machine and set up correctly Damie Thumbs Up

Fuse 27 10A in the passenger fuse box (behind the lower glove box) is for the trailer parker lights.
