Please be aware, after issues with getting a JLR dash cam to work in my 2014, I received this from Robin at Duckworths:

'this product is only meant for 2020 models onwards, fitting to earlier models is an unknown.'

So looks like I am £200 down the drain getting Range Rover World to fit it when he was upgrading my screen, but now have to pay to get it taken out to send back for a refund.

Expensive lesson Big Cry

I had been considering the JLR dash cam, what hasn't been working for you? Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Had it fitted and it connected to my phone, then, on numerous occasions tried to update the firmware.
Then only got red power and wifi indications, no green.
Then it went dead, nothing.
Checked the fuse and it had gone pop.
Changed it and still nothing.

Duckworths will now only refund on return, as they say it is only meant for 2020 models and newer.

our Craig says he has fitted these successfully to his and other FF's and he knows his stuff....so i suspect that range rover world could have fitted yours incorrectly..

maybe you have a faulty unit? ... - .- -.

Stan

That's why I bought one.

And it is basically plug and play.

Remove harness to interior light. Plug it into dash cam loom. Plug other end of dashcam loom into the interior light socket. Mount front camera receiver. Run rear camera cable cable. Plug in cameras. Done. The camera wiring is all in 1 premade loom.

Not sure what the wiring differences will be between a 2014 and 2020, if any.

I’ve fitted 12 of these to 405’s ranging from my 2013 to 2021 and have had ZERO issues! I think something else done to nbunneys car at the same time as the install will be the culprit!

Why not return the car to RRW and ask CD to investigate? I assume it drove away from wherever it was installed???

Yes it did Craig.

I will wait for my spare key to return from Adam and then see where we go.
