United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Tangiers Orange

Argg! it si still hard to tell on these pics with all the reflections and dirt. Big Cry
in a nutshell, if the backgrounds are grey - as in 'primer grey': they are the original lights
if they are glossy black, they are 2012. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

A quick update on my L322 journey.

Shortly after getting the car I was greeted with an Adaptive Dynamics Fault. After checking the wiring to both front sensors I plugged in my iid tool (bought from a forum member) and found a fault with the rear left height sensor. Ordered a genuine LR replacement and my local garage fitted it for me (I couldn’t remove a rounded out bolt) and the fault is cleared. Back to being fully operational again.

One other small issue is that on 2 occasions I have had really back crackling and popping coming from what sounds like all or at least most of my speakers. The issue has gone away on its own on both occasions but I suspect the fault is with the amplifier in the rear compartment. I have read about moisture causing issues in there so stripped out the area and it was bone dry with no sign of ever having been wet. I removed the plugs from the amplifier and they were all clean with no corrosion at all. I guess I will keep my eye on it and if the issue returns I’ll replace the amp with a tested used unit.

The only other thing worth mentioning is I have ordered a new key from Aliexpress. I only have one key at the moment and want a spare. I ordered the newer smaller type which I hope I can program to my car (it is the start button model I have). It was only about £20 delivered including the blade cut to match my existing so worth taking the chance. I’ll update once the key arrives to key you know if it works.

My wedding anniversary today and my lovely wife got me the Land Rover umbrella that fits in the centre console compartment next to the maglite. Just need to find a nice pen for the other space now.

My new key arrived from China today so only 11 days since I ordered it. Seems well built and of good quality. The key came cut to match my existing and works in the locks as expected.
Programming the fob to my car was a bit of a faff using iid tool and after getting a failed message a few times I thought I had wasted my money (all £20 of it). I needn’t have worried though as I persevered and after about 6 tries the pairing was successful.
All in all it was £20 well spent.
