United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Baltic Blue
New to Range Rover L322 - Rusty rear sill

Hi Everyone, OK so I'm new to L322 ownership having purchased my 2003 4.4 Vogue about a month ago now. Didn't pay too much for it and it's a great looking car in Oslo blue. I am handy with the spanners and have been giving it a thorough service but yesterday I think I found the reason it was a bargain..when changing the brake fluid I found the offside rear (UK car) jacking point had pushed up into the sill...2 questions...

Where in North Bucks UK could I take this for a quote for repair please...? How much should I expect?

How big a job is it...I have a mig, fabricating the panels takes an age...but have other people on here done this job..?

Thanks in advance
Rod B.

Common problem unfortunately. Search the word rust on here and I'm sure you will find the various threads on it. If the sill has gone then the rear wings and inner wings may be bad too? You can get repair panels for the outer rear wings but the inner wing and sill are not available unfortunately - I've just done mine and it's a difficult job if you need to fabricate the panels, I was lucky enough to find some rust free second hand cuts but these sell fast so took some searching for. The jacking point area is multi layer so bear that in mind. I think the people who have paid a body shop to repair have paid circa £1k.

No idea you’d have to enquire with the seller.

Like you I’d assumed they weren’t available but spotted the advertisement whilst looking for the arches.

Looks like an Indian/ Bangladeshi stockist in the image shown on ebay, so just looked them up, and the link below shows a photo of the part. So it’s either original or someone is making them;

They also stock a lot of britpart pieces.

Lastly needs further investigation but they also have a uk reference address, phone number and email so perhaps they are exporting parts?!?:

That’s because I’m inept! I should have typed the part number in….

Unfortunately no photos!

Do we think they have something? Or questionable?
