United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Barolo Black
Range Rover Evoque

Hi All,

my sister in law has treated herself to a 2012 evoque.
the electric drivers seat has an issue moving forward and back. it does move but not in a single movement you have to keep pushing the button. so you push and hold the button the seat move a little then stops then you have to release and push again.

same when you push the memory seat button the seat moves a little then stops and you have to push again.

any suggestion would be great 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current

Sounds like bad contacts on the switch which keep interrupting the motor, you could try and take the switch apart or buy a used one off eBay. 2021 L405 Vogue D300

As you mention it also does not work on the memory button it could be another thing....If the seat has lost its calibration it can limit the inputs on the switch as it does not know what position in the seat is in (hence why it stops and starts). You can try and reset this by running the seat in all motions from end to end so it gets to each stop point, make sure you do this when you are running or have good charge else the meetings won't be recorded by the memory module. If that does not resolve it it could be a bad position sensor or just the switch as I mentioned. There is a sensor on the seat track which records the position, if this fails then it will limit movement to prevent damage. If you can find it you could unplug and clean the contacts on this also....as they are under the seat the wires could have been damaged by something being forced under the seat. 2021 L405 Vogue D300

This is also an issue if someone has retro fitted electric memory seats. Check on the Discovery forum for this issue.
