020 battery in a 4.4 TDV8

So,

I have just upgraded to a 4.4 TDV8 from a 2006 3.6 TDV8.

I am swapping out any parts that have been new in the last year on the 3.6 that I want, as it's going to auction (I.e. battery, gas struts, speakers, bluetooth). One of these is the 020 AGM battery I fitted earlier this year - I really want to swap it out with the 3 year old 019 in the 4.4. I managed to get it into the 3.6 and although there's a bracket in the way, will have a good effort at trying to fit it to the 4.4, using the tricks I used to get it in the 3.6.

I'll let you know how i get on and whether I succeed or indeed, you cannot squeeze an 020 in. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I’m not sure we got a real answer on whether the 020 fitted did we? Some folk said they did it, some tried and failed.... and I seem to remember that the thinking was you could get it to physically fit by shaving some plastic off the battery, so you couldn’t take it back..... but then you couldn’t get the wires on a terminal.... ? I’m sure it was something like that.

I need a battery so been reading a bit too....

Good luck....

My idea is to see if I can move the battery tray from the 3.6 to the 4.4. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Personally I wouldn’t bother.

Had a proper JLR battery in my 12, and it was perfect. I managed to get a 020 into the 3.6 but didn’t bother trying in the 4.4 as the original battery lasted well. I swapped it out in 2020 and moved the new one to my 405, so the original lasted 8 years which is pretty good going and wasn’t scoobied when I swapped it, just turning over slightly slow. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
